Dr Lucy Currie uses a gentle dental anaesthetic for maximum comfort, so most patients feel little to no discomfort during treatment. You may experience some mild swelling or bruising afterwards, but this usually resolves within a few days.

How long do lip fillers last?

Results typically last between 6 and 12 months, depending on your metabolism and lifestyle. Top-up treatments can be scheduled to maintain your desired look.

Will my lips look natural?

Absolutely. Dr Lucy Currie’s goal is always to enhance your natural shape and proportions for a subtle, balanced result.

How soon will I see results?

You’ll notice fuller lips immediately, with final results visible after any initial swelling subsides – usually within a few days.

What if I don’t like the result?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are reversible. If you’re not happy, the filler can be safely dissolved by our clinicians.

How do I care for my lips after treatment?

We’ll provide detailed aftercare instructions. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat for 24 hours, and keep the area clean.

Can I wear makeup after lip fillers?

We recommend avoiding makeup on or around your lips for at least 12 hours after treatment to reduce the risk of infection.
