Dr Syed Abdullah is our dedicated implant dentist at Marton Dental Practice, looking after all of our implant patients. He works across multiple practices throughout Teesside, providing complex implant treatments for a wide range of cases—from single missing teeth to full-arch restorations.

Syed completed his BDS in India in 2004 and moved to the UK in 2005. He passed the International Qualifying Examination in 2006 and initially worked as a general dental practitioner. During this time, he also gained valuable surgical exposure as a clinical observer in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Guy’s Hospital in London.

With a strong interest in dental implants, Syed went on to complete an MSc in Dental Implantology at the University of Manchester in 2011. Since then, he has successfully treated many patients with implant solutions ranging from single-tooth replacements to full-arch restorations, achieving a very high success rate.

At Marton Dental Practice, Syed provides:

  • Single-tooth dental implants.
  • Multiple-tooth and bridge-supported implants.
  • Full-arch “teeth in a day” style solutions (All-on-4 / All-on-6–type cases).
  • Implant planning, surgery, and long-term review.

He is known for his careful planning, precise surgical technique, and calm, reassuring manner. Syed works with real dedication to provide excellent professional care and strives to deliver an exceptional experience for every implant patient—whether they are referred to us or are regular attendees at the practice.

Outside the Practice

Outside of dentistry, Syed has a keen interest in motorsport and enjoys following and discussing all things automotive. He also loves spending his spare time with family and friends, balancing his busy clinical work with a strong focus on home and community life.

If you’re considering dental implants—whether to replace a single tooth or to transform your full smile—Dr Syed Abdullah offers specialist-level implant care here at Marton Dental Practice.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How often should I get a check-up?

At Marton Dental Practice, regular dental check-ups are essential for maintaining good oral health. While the exact frequency may vary depending on individual needs, routine dentist and hygienist visits are part of your preventive armour against dental infections and gum disease. For most people, check-ups are recommended every 6 months, though patients at higher risk may be advised to come in more frequently.

Why are my teeth sensitive?

Tooth sensitivity can be caused by several factors, including:

  • Dental infections or decay reaching the inner layers of the tooth.
  • Gum recession exposing the tooth’s dentine (a weaker layer than enamel).
  • Cracked or chipped teeth.
  • Worn fillings or enamel erosion.

If you’re experiencing sensitivity, it could also be a sign of underlying gum disease or the early stages of a dental infection that may require attention, such as a root canal treatment if left untreated.

How do I whiten my teeth?

Marton Dental Practice offers professional at-home teeth whitening using White Dental Beauty products. This treatment involves:

  • Custom-made whitening trays based on 3D digital scans.
  • Dentist-supervised application of a safe, vegan-friendly whitening gel.
  • Wear time as short as 30 minutes per day.

The process is non-invasive, gentle on sensitive teeth, and results can last for years with good maintenance.

Why are my gums bleeding?

Bleeding gums are often a sign of gum disease, caused by the build-up of plaque and tartar. If left untreated, this can progress to serious gum damage, tooth loss, and even systemic health issues like cardiovascular disease.

Marton Dental’s hygienists offer:

  • Scale and polish treatments to remove plaque.
  • Deep cleaning below the gumline to close gum pockets.
  • Tailored advice for ongoing gum maintenance.

Early treatment can reverse gum disease and prevent more invasive procedures later.
