Denplan Care at Marton Dental Practice.

Your dental health, covered with confidence.

What’s included in Denplan Care?

Denplan Care is a comprehensive dental payment plan that helps you spread the cost of routine treatment and gives you peace of mind that your regular care is covered. Your monthly fee includes:

  • 2 x dental check-ups per year.
  • 2 x routine scale and polish appointments with our hygienist (unless you request otherwise).
  • All necessary dental X-rays.
  • Fillings deemed essential by your Denplan dentist.
  • Tooth extractions (unless a specialist referral is required).
  • Root canal treatment (if a referral is not needed).
  • Worldwide dental injury and emergency cover (Supplementary Insurance).
  • Access to Denplan’s 24-hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline.

Who can join?

Denplan Care is ideal for patients who want to attend the practice regularly and budget effectively for their dental care. To join, you must first be dentally fit — your monthly fee will be based on your oral health following an initial assessment.

How it works

You’ll attend an oral health assessment so we can determine the level of care you’ll need and your monthly fee. Once approved, your cover begins, and you’ll start enjoying the benefits of regular, worry-free dental care.

Family Discounts: Save up to 5% when multiple family members are registered under one Direct Debit.

What’s not covered?

While Denplan Care covers most routine dental care, some treatments fall outside the plan, including:

Emergency Dental Support

As a Denplan Care patient, you’ll have 24/7 access to a worldwide dental emergency helpline, with support 365 days a year.

Supplementary Insurance Coverage

Your Denplan Care membership includes Supplementary Insurance, which provides:

  • Cover for dental injuries.
  • Temporary emergency dental treatment in the UK and abroad.
  • Reimbursement for overnight hospital stays under a dental/maxillofacial surgeon for head or neck treatment (up to one year).

Not covered by Supplementary Insurance:

  • Emergency treatment by your dentist or their representative.
  • Sports-related dental injuries (unless a professionally recommended mouthguard was worn).
  • Mouth cancer diagnosed before joining Denplan or within 90 days of joining.

Additional Support from Denplan

Denplan Insurance Services offers:

  • 24-hour dental emergency helpline.
  • Help arrange Supplementary Insurance.
  • Support with any insurance-related enquiries.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How often should I get a check-up?

At Marton Dental Practice, regular dental check-ups are essential for maintaining good oral health. While the exact frequency may vary depending on individual needs, routine dentist and hygienist visits are part of your preventive armour against dental infections and gum disease. For most people, check-ups are recommended every 6 months, though patients at higher risk may be advised to come in more frequently.

Why are my teeth sensitive?

Tooth sensitivity can be caused by several factors, including:

  • Dental infections or decay reaching the inner layers of the tooth.
  • Gum recession exposing the tooth’s dentine (a weaker layer than enamel).
  • Cracked or chipped teeth.
  • Worn fillings or enamel erosion.

If you’re experiencing sensitivity, it could also be a sign of underlying gum disease or the early stages of a dental infection that may require attention, such as a root canal treatment if left untreated.

How do I whiten my teeth?

Marton Dental Practice offers professional at-home teeth whitening using White Dental Beauty products. This treatment involves:

  • Custom-made whitening trays based on 3D digital scans.
  • Dentist-supervised application of a safe, vegan-friendly whitening gel.
  • Wear time as short as 30 minutes per day.

The process is non-invasive, gentle on sensitive teeth, and results can last for years with good maintenance.

Why are my gums bleeding?

Bleeding gums are often a sign of gum disease, caused by the build-up of plaque and tartar. If left untreated, this can progress to serious gum damage, tooth loss, and even systemic health issues like cardiovascular disease.

Marton Dental’s hygienists offer:

  • Scale and polish treatments to remove plaque.
  • Deep cleaning below the gumline to close gum pockets.
  • Tailored advice for ongoing gum maintenance.

Early treatment can reverse gum disease and prevent more invasive procedures later.
